eing able to write doesn’t make you literate. You need to be able to think. Why don’t schools teach thinking? Seems to me to be the most, indeed, the only thing, schools should be teaching.
It’s obvious they’re not. How else to explain religion? Mayan Calendar End-of-the-worlders? Rick Santorum? Why do more people in the US believe in angels than believe in evolution?
No one is taught to think, that’s why.
